Drummer . Percussionist . Teacher

Tim Sellars is a professional drummer and percussionist originally from Christchurch, New Zealand and now based in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2009, Tim graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Music (Majoring in Jazz performance on the drumset) and then completed his Honours (First Class) in 2011 (receiving the Michael Toovey prize for outstanding Merit). In 2015, Tim completed his diploma in teaching (secondary) and taught drums and percussion through the Forte ITM unit from 2016-2019. He is currently teaching and performing in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tim Sellars is leader of World Band Mukhlisa which focuses on his Middle-Eastern percussion instruments in combination with flute, double bass, and guitar. Mukhlisa released their debut album 'The Puzzle' in 2017 at the International Jazz and Blues Festival in Christchurch, New Zealand
